I'm proud to be a NACAC member! Being a part of NACAC's Rural & Small Town SIG has been an especially formative experience during my higher education career.

I couldn’t be prouder to work at a school where university leadership puts students’ success at the forefront. Starting this app cycle, tuition and fees are covered for NC residents with family adjusted gross income of $80K or less. This is a serious investment in our community. 💙

UNC Asheville has had a Humanities Program for 50 years, and I think that’s extraordinary for a public institution to remain invested in a curriculum that has been so difficult to uphold in modern higher education.

I've been sitting on this news for a bit, but 2023 marks the start of a new job for me as Associate Director of Scholarship Programs at University of North Carolina Asheville! I feel incredible lucky for the mentorship I was offered by such compassionate and thoughtful colleagues at University School of Milwaukee, and it's been bittersweet to say goodbye so soon after starting. I'm grateful for the ability to begin work at an institution where I continue to feel mission-aligned, and back in my husband's hometown. At UNCA, I'll have the opportunity to focus our efforts on college access and affordability, and return to my work on rural student engagement. Reach out if you want to chat about this awesome public liberal arts college!
