1) DON'T WORRY ABOUT HAVING THE 'RIGHT' UTENSILS

The classic Espresso Martini recipe is one part Kahlúa, one part espresso coffee and one part vodka. So what is the drinks expert's top tip to creating the co*cktail at home? Give the ingredients a good hard shake for 30 seconds to make sure the crema (the frothy foam on top) comes up nicely. It really is that simple.

Youdon't need to own your own co*cktail kit to perfect the drink and Ali explains that there are lots of everyday items that you have around the house that you can use instead. No co*cktail shaker? Use a jam jar with a lid. No jigger? Try a measuring spoon or even use the lid from your alcohol bottle to measure out portions.

Youdon't need to own a fancy espresso machine either. You can get a takeaway coffee from your local cafe or pick up cold brew from a supermarket to use in your co*cktail.

Classic: The original and arguably the best Espresso Martini recipe is one part Kahlúa, one part espresso coffee and one part vodka

2) DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN MAKE AN ESPRESSO MARTINI IN UNDER 10 SECONDS?

If you're time poor or wanting to enjoying a co*cktail al fresco without taking your ingredients and utensils with you, you'll be interested to know there is a simple and easy way you can make an Espresso Martini in under 10 seconds.

Kahlúa offers an ingenious Espresso Martini co*cktail in a can and all you need to do is open and pour. It could not be simpler. The drink even has a nice crema, which looks just as good as if you'd mixed the drink yourself. The Kahlúa Espresso Martini cans are tasty, convenient for on the go and are perfect for even the laziest aspiring mixologist.

3) VODKA NOT YOUR THING? SWITCH IT OUR FOR YOUR FAVOURITE SPIRIT

Switch it up: If vodka isn't your drink of choice you can switch it out for your favourite spirit. Why not trying swapping vodka for Altos Tequila (pictured) instead?

Did you know you can switch out the vodka with your favourite spirit to create an Espresso Martini to suit your individual taste?

Ali suggests trying Tequila, with Altos Tequila as a good option, but you could also use Jameson if whiskey is your drink of choice or try the drink withBeefeater gin or Havana Club Rum.

If you've got a particularly sweet tooth you can also add in maple syrup or sugar syrup too, although the sweetness from the Kahlúa coffee liquor is normally enough for most people.

4) THE DATE NIGHT DRINK GUARANTEED TO IMPRESS

Ali says that an Espresso Martini is 'perfect for a date night because it's sexy, it's smooth and flavoursome.'

To add that little extra something to your drink why not replace the traditional coffee beans with a slice of orange peel, grated chocolate or a sliced chilli?Any of these garnishes will instantly up your at-home co*cktail game and will ensure you and your date enjoy a decadent drink together.

Make your drink really special: Ali says it's easy to make an impact with your homemade co*cktail. Instead of adding coffee beans to your Espresso Martini you can also try orange peel, grated chocolate or even a chilli
