Reports To: Building Principal
Job Goal: To provide the leadership necessary to set, promote, and maintain a positive learning environment. To work with students, staff, and parents in providing the necessary communication and consistency of enforcement of school rules to meet the goal of a safe and nuturing learning climate.
Required Qualifications
Have or qualify for, a valid Washington State Principal's certificate
Master's Degree
Demonstrated successful high school classroom experience
Demonstrated successful high school activities administrative experience
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing with students, parents, staff and patrons
Fingerprint and criminal history background check through Washington State Patrol and FBI required
Performance Responsibilities
Administration:
Work cooperatively with the Superintendent and the Administrative Leadership Team for all students and staff
Provide leadership to the building improvement committee in long and short-range projects relative to the physical facility
Work cooperatively with the principal both in-school and co-curricular activities
Provide support to building principal: attendance, intervention, discipline, etc.
Support and evaluate CTE instructors
Activities Director:
Manage the building activities master calendar of events, both school and community
Coordinate with the building principal in the development of practice and contest schedules for athletic activities in conjunction with officials associations, the district transportation department, custodians, and others as needed
Work with the building principal and in the establishment of budgets and expenditures
Hobby: Web surfing, Skiing, role-playing games, Sketching, Polo, Sewing, Genealogy
